Not Quite A Thermos

I am officially abandoning my NaBloPoMo theme of writing about things for which I am thankful. I thought having a theme would help keep me on track but it is really stifling and restrictive so it is back to the usual inane ramblings. Lesson learned from my first NaBloPoMo, I'll know better next year.

I still plan on posting each day this month (and hopefully beyond) but my theme is going, going, gone.

So back to something I've been meaning to write about for a while now - my new 3 in 1 Beverage Center. While I do think it is cool as hell, it didn't quite fit the bill of something I was thankful for.

I had been toying with the idea of getting a coffee pot since I moved in to my office back in February but it just didn't seem like a good idea. The water in my building can be a bit nasty and the only sink is in the washroom, I really didn't want to bring a coffeepot in there to rinse and clean it.

But when I was picking out our new coffee pot for home a while back, I saw this handy appliance from across the aisle. It brews right into a mug which I can bring home nightly for easy dishwashering (yeah, not a real word, sue me), it takes coffee pods which are easy to manage and dispose of, and it fills easily from water bottles so no nasty office water. I can heat up just water for cocoa or soup too.

For a single person office I really highly recommend this. It lets me feed my coffee habit easily and cheaply, and the versatility of it makes it a really great addition to my office.

OK - I just read this again and it sounds like a commercial, which wasn't intentional. Note that I never do paid posts and didn't profit from this. I recall my wondering if this thing really worked like advertised so thought a recommendation might be helpful. Plus, it is cool - and almost thermos related....

It doesn't sound like a commercial. It sounds like you're relieved you get to write about whatever you want whenever you want. Which is how it should be. Coffee pods? Sounds like an invasion of the body snatchers thing.

It certainly was a joy to be spontaneous and to write about something frivolous for a change.

I think I'll write about coffee pods soon, then I can do return of the coffee pods, revenge of the coffee pods, escape to the valley of the coffee pods, it can be a whole series.
