It's cold here. Really cold. -4 F or -21 F wind chill. I'm currently on the couch in sweats, under a homemade afghan, stealing warmth from a couple of cats, sitting near a space heater, enjoying a wonderful mug of cocoa, and the chill is still in my bones. Earlier today, my wife wrote about how she is thinking about warmer things like cooking to combat the cold. My brain goes to other things - like music.
So here, in an attempt to trick my head into thinking that I'm not really freezing, are some songs about various things hot:
- Heat Wave - Martha & The Vandellas
- Hot 'Lanta - The Allman Brothers
- Hot Hot Hot - Buster Poindexter (aka David Johansen)
- Hot Fun in the Summertime - Sly & the Family Stone
- In the Summertime - Mungo Jerry
- White Light / White Heat - The Velvet Underground
- Hotter Than Hell - Kiss
- Summer in the City - The Lovin' Spoonful
- Hot Stuff - The Rolling Stones
- Sun Dance - Gov't Mule
Cheers

You have blown my mind. I can't even comment on today's post because my mind is on the floor, blown out of my cranial cavity.
And do I have to help clean up the mess?
