Let us continue the guitarist theme - here is a great clip of Stanley Jordan from the old Letterman Show. If you aren't familiar with his work, Stanley is a jazz guitarist who is famous for his two-handed tapping technique and his melodic tone. Quite the virtuoso indeed.

The reason I called it a mixed pleasure wasnt because he didnt have delicious lines and such, but rather, about 25 minutes into bolero, i would have severed my own hand to make it end.
One other note on his technigue, while it is interesting, the hardest part to duplicate is not the style but the ability to control the tightness of the sound that comes from so much gain. You need highly sensitive pickups for that, and for most people, myself included, my sound would be all over the place.
