Fantasy Baseball Update - Week 4

A good week (725.2) brings my record to 2-2. I cleared up my roster by getting rid of some pitchers Escobar, Vilanueva and Slowey. I'm still hanging on to Lackey though - good move? I notice that he is owned in 100% of leagues so people seem to be holding on to him.

I also picked up Santana, Cano, and Gary Matthews Jr. and am waiting for Orlando Cabrera to clear waivers. The team is really taking shape and I'm pleased with my progress so far.

I've got a tough week coming up though as my next opponent is 4-0 with a strong team. I'm going to have to be extra diligent to sneak a win past him.

Hanging on to Lackey, at least in the short term, is a good idea. If word comes out that he is going to be out longer than expected, or if he has lost velocity upon his return, then I would consider moving him.

People are holding on to him, much like you, for that reason...they know his past track record, and don't want to be the one who cast him aside in lieu of some other piece of crap. lol

That said, it also depends on who is available in your league for pickup. Fantasy baseball is a ton of fun, though I have to say I miss not being in a league this season.
