Happy MuleDay - She Said She Said

I'm a big fan of bands that can take a song and make it their own, and I think Gov't Mule does that better than any band I know. It's always a joy to see what nuggets they pull out and give the Mule treatment. I've seen them do everything from Wasted Time to I'm A Ram to In The Court of the Crimson King, but I especially love when they pull out the She Said She Said / Tomorrow Never Knows Jam.

It's probably one of my favorite Beatles songs and the Mule version is just a killer. I was just mentioning this song yesterday in Nat's Tuesday Tunes about favorite covers of Beatles tunes, so I thought I would share this clip from 3-17-00, just about a month before my first Mule show.

I'm going to the Mule/Bobby show tomorrow and then just Mule on Sunday. SO FREAKING PSYCHED.

Great choice of songs. The first time I heard them play this life I freaked out at the opening notes.

Nice Ross - we've got them coming up in Chicago in a few weeks, am always stoked when it's Mule time.

They played this the first time I saw them and I was hooked. I love the TNK jam.

I'll watch that video later, since hubby is groovin' on the new Joe Jackson in the room right now and I don't want to interrupt.

I have never heard this cover, so I'm looking forward to it.

I haven't picked up the new Joe Jackson yet but the couple songs I have heard are great. I'm a big fan - love to hear him play with Graham Maby.

Scott, the new Joe Jackson is pretty damned good, and a return to the "Night And Day" sort of Joe Jackson music. Lovin' it.
