OK - I am going to give up on my NaBloPoMo theme of favorite blogs. While I do have a couple of others that I would like to get to, I don't think I've got 20 and I am having a heck of a time writing them.
I am still planning on continuing with NaBlahBlah though - I have kept up with the daily posting, and a theme isn't required so I am still "in it" You may recall that I ended up ditching my theme last year as well. Next year I'll know better.
I do want to take an opportunity to give an honorary mention to some of my favorites that didn't get their own write up and I probably won't get to by end of month. That doesn't make them any less important or enjoyable.
ThoughtSparks - Phil was one of the first bloggers I met and I really enjoy his writing and no-nonsense take on things. He's a busy one so it doesn't get updated often enough, but it will remain in my reader so I can catch his updates when he posts them.
Port 16 - Mike covers some things tech, some things fun, some grilling things and all points in between. He is also one of the guys behind Two Guys Tech.
Interesting Observations - Pearl over at Interesting Observations offers up just that. She says she focuses on general life skills but to me her blog is about feeling and doing good. It's inspiring without being preachy, and I am always thrilled to see a new post appear in my reader.
Stick Figure Lis - I really wish Lis posted more often as her blog is just a riot. Not sure where she finds the stuff she posts but I love it. This was a particular recent favorite. Her Stick Figures are also a highlight.
Maxwell The Tattooed Boy - I never know what Elle's posts are going to be about, but that is what makes this such fun to read. A great entrecard find!!
These are some of my favorites, what are yours?

Mitch Mitchell - Dead at 61
I'm just now getting official confirmation but it appears that Mitch Mitchell, drummer for the Jimi Hendrix Experience has been found dead in Portland Oregon.
Mitch was truly an amazing drummer as evidenced in this video from Jan, 9, 1969 - truly outstanding.

I Hope They Didn't Rearrange My Loft!
I've written in the past about how much I love my Sirius Radio, and have really been a supporter of the merger between them and XM.
So this morning I got an email announcing the new Sirius Radio channel lineup only to discover that The Vault is now Deep Classic Rock.
I'm not usually a pessimistic person by nature but I sort of freaked out a bit at this. I would say that 50% of my listening time is on The Vault and the thought of them changing things around too much is scary.
I haven't been out to the car yet so I really don't know what this means. The new name still pretty accurately describes the content from The Vault, so it doesn't necessarily mean any programming change. And who knows, maybe they'll even improve it. I'd love for them to go even deeper. I've yet to hear 10cc "Feel The Benefit" (parts 1 & 2 and 3) which is sort of my barometer for just how good a station can be.
It's time to go to work so I guess I'll find out soon. Wish me luck!

Tuesday Tunes: Week 57
I guess it technically isn't still Tuesday, but I am still awake so I'm going with it. It is late though so no linkage.
Once again via Music Memoirs our mission today is:
November 10th was the anniversary of the day The Edmund Fitzgerald went down during a storm on Lake Superior. So we're going to have a nautical theme meme - word association style:
Ocean: Walk On The Ocean - Toad The Wet Sprocket
River: Meeting Across The River - Bruce Springsteen
Sea: I Am The Sea - The Who
Sailor: Sail on Sailor - The Beach Boys
Ship: Shipbuilding - Elvis Costello
Wave: The Wild Wild Sea - Sting
Sand: Cowgirl In The Sand - Neil Young
Sail: Sail Away - Randy Newman
Navy: You're A Soldier - Husker Du
Deep: Banks Of The Deep End - Gov't Mule
Cheers!

My Favorite Blogs Day 11 - Razzball
So as the month proceeds, I continue my NaBloPoMo series of favorite blogs. Today's choice is Razzball, a site devoted to tips and advice about all things Fantasy Baseball.

Wait - did Scott just say one of his favorite blogs is about baseball stats? Am I in the right place?
Yes I did, and indeed you are.
Back in April I joined a league with my nephews having absolutely no clue what I was doing only to walk away with the championship at season's end. I absolutely couldn't have done it without the help I got from Razzball, particularly the position and draft rankings. When guys got injured or weren't performing, I'd head over and get recommendations on who was hot or who I should drop.
I wouldn't have been able to compete without the help I got, much less win the season. As it is, I feel confident enough in what I can get from them next season to commit to joining in on the fun once again.
If you're a fan of baseball and stats (Adam!), especially as they relate to Fantasy Baseball, Razzball is a must read.

My Favorite Blogs Day 10 - Gorilla Sushi
Today's favorite blog is one you just have to see and read to understand. And even then, understand might be a stretch.
I don't mean that as a criticism, Gorilla Sushi is just unlike anything else you've probably ever seen before. It's a quirky collection of satire and other humor bits, videos, photos, and other oddities that just make you laugh. A lot.
Prepare to spend some time if you click through, there is plenty to see there. A particular favorite of mine is the Thursday Caption Contest which is doubly fun. Take a funny photo and then add witty commentary from the peanut gallery and a good time is had by all.
Enjoy!

Music For A Monday - Wasted Time
It's not too often that I like a cover better than the original...
but this is one of those times:
Warren Haynes - Wasted Time
Cheers!
