My Thermos

It's cold here. Really cold. -4 F or -21 F wind chill. I'm currently on the couch in sweats, under a homemade afghan, stealing warmth from a couple of cats, sitting near a space heater, enjoying a wonderful mug of cocoa, and the chill is still in my bones.

Earlier today, my wife wrote about how she is thinking about warmer things like cooking to combat the cold. My brain goes to other things - like music.

So here, in an attempt to trick my head into thinking that I'm not really freezing, are some songs about various things hot:

Just a few days after Media Morgue wrote about Defending Mr. Lucas, I felt it was my responsibility to take advantage of the opportunity presented to me today to watch the full Star Wars saga on Cinemax. His words were so compelling, so moving, and presented such a call to action that I felt I must research and respond.

That and the fact that it was freakin' freezing here and I had absolutely no incentive to leave the comfort of my couch and the warm afghan that my wife made for me.

They were running in release order and I picked things up midway through Ep 5 - The Empire Strikes Back. I did switch away for a bit (during ep 1) to watch a movie called Shopgirl which we really enjoyed. Continue reading "Serious Sunday Research - ... »
