This came to me via Gregg over on Facebook but I thought I would share the results here as well:
Using only song names from ONE ARTIST, cleverly answer these questions. Try not to repeat a song title. It's harder than you think.

Describe yourself: "Maybe I'm A Leo"
How do you feel about yourself: "So Weak, So Strong"
Describe where you currently live: "World Gone Wild"

Your favorite form of transportation: "Mule"
Your best friend is: "John The Revelator"
Your favorite color is: "Afro Blue"
What's the weather like: "About to Rage"
Favorite time of day: "Raven Black Night"
If your life was a tv show, what would it be called: "My Separate Reality"
What is life to you: "Trying Not To Fall"
What is the best advice you have to give: "Lay Your Burden Down"
If you could change your name, what would it be: "Thelonius Beck"
Your favorite food is: "Greasy Granny's Gopher Gravy"
Thought for the Day: "I Think You Know What I Mean"
How I would like to die: "Grinnin' In Your Face"
My soul's present condition: "Beautifully Broken"

This week's topic is of no interest to me so I figured I would go ahead and do the word association I missed last week. Thought I would throw in some video links as well.
Go ahead and click through to them - they are quite good.

Job: "Get a Job" - The Silhouettes
Cat: "Cat People" - David Bowie
Silence: "In That Quiet Earth" - Genesis

Tuesday Tunes: Week 65
I know it's not Tuesday. Why not use your imagination and just pretend it is.
The mission from our Music Memoirs friends this week:
A little something different.
I'm going to give you a list of drinks and you give me a song/album/artist that fits that particular drink:
Espresso: "Espresso Love" - Dire Straits
Wine: "Tastes Like Wine" - Gov't Mule
Beer: "Warm Beer & Cold Women" - Tom Waits
Milk: Milk & Honey (LP) - John Lennon / Yoko Ono
Water: "Gimme Some Water" - Eddie Money
Tea: "English Tea" - Paul McCartney
Cappuccino: The Cappuccino Kid - Not a song but the mysterious sleeve note writer for The Style Council.
Margarita: "Margarita" - Traveling Wilburys
OK - I know it's not much of a post but I wanted you to know that haven't forgotten either of my loyal readers.
What would you have picked? No need to mention margaritaville...
Cheers!

Take: Take Me Back to Chicago - Chicago
Try: Try Me - UFO

So I see I went a bit heavy on the Macca this week with 2 choices from the outstanding and underappreciated Flaming Pie - but it's my blog so I can do that.

Tuesday Tunes - Week 59
This week we get a Thankful Theme from our friends at Music Memoirs
Our Mission is twofold:
What musical things are you the most thankful for?
Guitars. I love guitars. I love the way they sound. I love the way they look. I love the way they feel. Acoustic, electric, 6 string, 12 string, nylon string, it don't matter to me. An amateur (like me) can play some songs, a master can make it sing or cry.
If you could say thanks to one artist/band who would it be and why?
As much as I love, respect and admire a lot of other artists, I'm going to have to go with The Beatles. Simply put, The Beatles made me love music, and are responsible for me being the music fan I am today. No other artist has had that same level of influence on me, and if you know me, you know that is saying a lot.

Top 5 On Friday - Smart Songs
Our mission from The Music Memoirs this week:
Top 5 songs that make you feel smarter for having heard them. (Interpret as you see fit)
We Do What We're Told (Milgram's 37) - Peter Gabriel
In which I learned about the Milgram Experiment
Cortez The Killer - Neil Young
In which I learned about Cortez (or Cortés)
John Barleycorn Must Die - Traffic
In which I learned about barley and barley cultivation
Alice's Restaurant - Arlo Guthrie
In which I learned about the Alice's Restaurant Massacree
Picasso's Last Words (Drink to Me) - Paul McCartney & Wings
In which I learned about Pablo Picasso
This was really difficult at first but then I had an epiphany of sorts. These are songs which caused me to go out and research or read to try to find out more about the song or the people or events that inspired it.
What would you have listed?
